Privacy Policy

Momo Focus (“Momo”) is a Chrome extension that provides focus timers, focus/break sessions, ambient sounds, customizable appearance settings, quick access, quotes, and local focus analytics. This policy explains what information Momo handles and how it is stored.
Information We Collect
Momo does not require an account or sign-in. Momo does not collect or transmit personal information to a remote server. Momo does not use Google authentication, Supabase, or another cloud service to store or synchronize user data.
Local Data
Momo stores certain settings and data locally using Chrome’s local extension storage, including:
- Timer and focus/break preferences
- Sound and notification preferences
- Appearance and Momo customization settings
- Search, quick-access, and quote preferences
- Tasks created within Momo
- Focus session and analytics history
This information is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to Momo’s servers. Custom background images and other locally selected appearance preferences remain on your device.
How We Use Information
Momo uses locally stored information only to provide and maintain the extension’s timers, preferences, tasks, focus sessions, analytics, sounds, and customization. Momo does not sell personal information, use personal information for targeted advertising, or create advertising profiles.
Website Processing
Momo may process opened website URLs locally when website blocking or YouTube Study Mode is enabled. This processing is performed locally, and website URLs are not sent to Momo’s servers for advertising or analytics purposes.
Data Retention and Deletion
Because Momo stores its data locally, you control locally stored Momo data through the extension and Chrome. Momo provides an option to reset locally stored analytics and backup or restore supported local data. Removing Momo from Chrome may remove its locally stored extension data according to Chrome’s storage behavior.
Third-Party Services
Momo does not use third-party authentication, cloud databases, or synchronization services to store user data. Momo may rely on Chrome extension APIs and services provided by Google Chrome, which are subject to Google’s own policies and terms.
Security
Momo stores supported user data locally using Chrome’s extension storage mechanisms. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when Momo’s features or data practices change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
